{weather} A drought has been brought down on Sorrento. The snow that had landed before is completely gone, replaced with browning grass and always sunny skies. The temperatures are high for the season, more like summer than like winter. Worry is flooding through each wolf, each pack, and the coolest places are in the disappearing ocean and the melting snow on the mountain-- if anyone can get that high.
The days are getting hotter, sun boring into the ground and each wolf's back. The temperatures are around fifty to sixty degrees; much, much higher than they should be in winter. Had any of these wolves known what they had in store for them, they would have accepted their fates in the summer and let Cadeyrn and his pack bring them to hell before the winter ever could.

Samara still has a meeting going on, you can find the link either in the camp or off as the thread of the month ( otm's have been updated! ) :3 So post and welcome back your long-lost alpha D< As for other news, I'm going to be making the history on biographies optional-- but in order to avoid doing it, you have to have already made two characters with histories. You have to include basic stuff on this-- say who their family was, what happened, and any sharp points in their history. However, you can do this bullet style c: Cha <3

10.31.09// Happy Halloween ;D It's been a long time since there was an announcement o-o I'll try to update this more often. I'm really sorry I haven't been posting ( or updating anything, such as OTM's ), but I've had a lot of stress going on in my life. There will be an activity check beginning tomorrow. The form will be the same as the last one, so just copy your old one and add in any updates. I'm going to get this site active once again, so we're all RPing and everything is updated. I'm also going to be a bit stricter on biographies. There will be threads coming up soon-- instead of the staff picking them, members will pick the OTM's by PMing me their votes. For the time of the activity check and a couple days after, you will not be able to make a character. So, if you have one that is incomplete, either remove it and PM it to yourself or something or finish it before the activity check is posted. There is going to be a new plot coming up soon, which will also be members' choice. Due to the fact that I haven't been posting and I know a lot of characters have been a bit inactive, there will be a third board in the character creation area for frozen characters. There will be more information on that later.
As soon as the activity check is over, there will be a lot of changes. First, all those threads mentioned above ( as well as some others ) will be made. After that, I'm going to be adding in a ton of new codes. Next would be the skin, new mascot, and probably more boards. At some point the site is likely to go into MM for, at most, two days, but that doesn't mean that you can become inactive. The rules will also be edited, and I'm probably going to begin forcing people to make different accounts for each character so they can be sorted into groups. Please try to PM me all the links to threads that you don't want archived. Sooner or later, there will be auditions for spots that are opened, bans will be placed, and other such things will be happening. Just prepare yourself for major changes here. I may already start working on the codes, so don't be alarmed if the site looks screwed up.

Shane grunted in his sleep as dreams overwhelmed his mind, allowing the dreams to be transmitted. Shane stood in the middle of a sea of blood, darkness blotting out the horizon. "Charcoal?!" He yelled, trying to find the one he loved. His eyes became weary and he closed them, feeling himself fall back into the sea of blood, sinking like a rock. Beside him was the Blade, falling even faster than him as the enviornment changed to the open sky above Sorrento, the wind racing past him. He fell with such a speed that if he were to hit the earth, he would surely die. yet...He wasn't afraid. He wasn't afraid of his life ending in a flash. Then the enviornment changed to the cave where his friends were, from a third person perspective. He saw all of the wolves melt until their bones were but dust.
Then he slowly opened his eyes to feel Charcoal's tounge against his fur. He sighed dreamily as he enjoyed her company."Charcoal...what happened?" He asked groggily, still feeling the pain from the once-broken leg. It was just a few moments ago that he had passed out, but it had felt like a year. He looked at Cross, Drake, and then Charcoal, feeling his strength return slowly. He closed his eyes again to block out the dream. The sea of blood still was imprinted in his mind though.

Cross smiled as shane came to. "Shane I know you just comming back into reality but from what drake told me there was only one of these wolves not two." He walked over to shane before circling around to charcoal. "Im going to scan your bodys charcoal and you shane for infections and any abnormalitys."
Cross sighed deeply before he then focused on both wolves. "Deep environmental scan!" A white line of light formed just over the wolves and slowly moved over the top of them as cross controled it, but as soon as he got halfway therew charcoals body he suddenly lose contole of the scanner and it fizzled into nothing. "shane!!!" his voice was cracking and when he did look up it seemed he had just seen a ghost. he had to turn away from looking at them his eyes seemed to have images moving threw them you could almost see cross was about to cry. "Its not possible can it really be the same thing."

"Cross are you alright?" He said as he approched. "cross what is not possible?" cross didnt look right and backed away when cross swatted at him.

Cross eyes suddenly projected an immage and the cave dissapeared forming into a old packs den site but the whole area was destoryed. there was bodys of wolves everywhere, some wolves were scorched beyond recongnition, others were bitten and had unknown poisins and darkmatter running threw them. den mothers and there pups were slaughterd in there dens. "Shane the same toxin that is inside charcoal was......" He couldnt even finish his sentance tears started streaming down his face and they were visibly hitting the ground infront of him. it was his old back a virtual flashback of what happened to his pack when he returned.

Shane watched as Cross started to scan both of Charcoal's and his body so he settled in for the duration of it. Once he hear Drake's words he turned to look at the horrorstruck Cross. "Cross? Are you...". He gasped once he saw the image the healer projected onto the walls as his own eyes began to narrow. "Is this...no, that's impossible. This...this looks exactly like what happen when Shade killed the Blackridge Clan...Cross...I had no idea you had gone through something so similar!". He looked at Cross with questioning eyes. "but...what happened?. In the back of Shane's mind a thought mused. Was it possible? Was Cross a Blackridge? Or was it just coincidence? Shane knew of only himself surviving that something like that, but maybe Shade had destroyed other packs... No wonder it was so easy for him. Looking again he saw the faces of horror, anger, and sadness. A tear dropped out of shane's eye as well, but he did the best he could to hide it from the others. He had to be storng. However he knew this was harder for Cross than it was for himself.

drake simply stayed quite and so did charcoal, she seemed just horrified she almost wanted to cry seeing the way some of the pups were killed. "Do you really think Dhade did this to a whole pack? and how every single wolf is a light elemental?"

Cross was weeping by this time "Shane this was how i found my whole pack when i returned from Sorrento the same poisin that is flowing threw charcoals veins is the same substance, the same wolf that killed my pack is the same wolf that just attacked us but he had help from other."
cross regained som composure but it was very difficult, "look at the scorch marks on the ground, trees and some of the victoms, do you notice anything different?" To anybody who wasnt trained or didnt notice clues it looked like a scorch mark but he wanted to see if shane could tell anything more.

Shane looked for anything that might give away a clue, but he was still recovering, and his eyesight was not as good. "If all of these elements were light...this surprises me. Even Shade fears light elementals, and of THAT magnitude. What motivations did he have to attack your pack? Unless...unless they possesed one of the Devil's Set? But I highly doubt that. The scorch markes look like regular scorch markes..but Shade's not a fire elemental..." Shane tried his best to figure it out but came up with nothing.

charcoal stayed quite as cross talked to shane, she was speechless but even she couldnt move still.

Cross turned still teary eyed and said "lets hear it i know the difference bewteen the scorches."

Drake said "It was done by light, not fire the ground where the light hit was immediatly turned to glass fire has to be of extream temps to turn sand and clay to glass. Shade did the same thing to Charcoal and took over her body. He bassicly turned one person against the other and anybody who wasnt killed by the wolves who were take over he killed himself before either killing the wolves he took over by his own paws of by the dark matter cousing threw there vains."

"Sombody has been studying, but its not over there is more." he walked over to several wolves than seemed to be splayed out in all directions in an exploded veiw, "Shade wasnt alone he had some help, look closly at the ground." There was a large imprint about 2 inches deep from somthing heavy that was created and then exploded and there were several other small impact craders around that one spread over about 20 feet. While some of the wolves looked like they were impailed by somthing
"It wasnt rock but Ice. It left no other traces of its existance becuase it melted, and was either soaked into the earth or evaporated!" even as he talked his words were soft and cracking as more tears dropped to the ground before the immage vanished and the cave came back into veiw. "I had the grimm task of burrying the dead all 50 somthing members a quarter of them were nersing pups and mothers the others were ages 2 and up including my parents."

Shane looked closely at the picture "Ice?". Shane's eyes suddenly whited out as a strange memory overwhelmed him. The same wolf saw a few moments ago standing next to Shade, both of them standing over field of dead wolves. Gekkou l ooked towards Shane and said. "You did well Hikari, you did what had to be done". Shane came back to reality and was breathing heavily as he said "That...that wasn't my memory. Cross...going through something like that must have been hard...I have gone through the exact same thing... Yet I did not have time to bury my comrades." He stood up with some difficulty and looked at Cross."It's strange...that death is a part of life. It's unavoidable. Yet, I would like to know why he would do that to your pack. What reason did they have to attack them. Shade is afraid of light elements...I guess this is just one more thing to get Shade back for." Shane said, trying to comfort the wolf.

Charcoal was slightly overwelmed and spoke her voice shaking "Shane this is scaring me if shade obliterated your pack and crosses what if we decied to have pups and he finds me and your not there." this tought scared her if shane and her did decied to have pups and shade suddenly showed up while Chacoal was nursing it would be over two quickly for her to do anything. suddenly charcoal felt somthing happening to her legs again it was the darkmatter it suddenly started spreading. and she cried out to shane. "Ahhhhhh Shane its spreading!" she felt her vital organs being attacked and it was cauing her great pain from withen her body. "Shane!" she cried out.

Cross was about to try and remake the battle using holographic porjections inside the cave but his words were cut short when Charcoal cried out. "it will have to wait shane, ive still got to get this stuff out of her system." he quickly moved to her side and said " it will be out of your system in a moment just hang in there Charcoal."

Charcoals eyes once again filled with tears as her vitals started to fail slowly as bloodflow to them was cut off one by one. "Please cross hurry." she cried.

this was going to put cross out but he needed to get the darkmatter out of her body. "Healing Contamination Light!" Cross layed a hand on charcoals forhead, and the other near her stumach he howled very loudly but it sounded like music as several shocks of pure light energy shot threw her body.

Charcoal felt 5 or six super charged light bursts excell threw her body started at her forhead and going clean to her tail. eatch caused her body to artch and she cried out in pain as the light was fighting back the dark energy. suddenly after the 5th burst of light she started gagging and coughing. and the 6th flash of energy that shot threw her the threw up a mix of blood and darkmatter not once, but several times, the ammount of darkmatter and blood was disterbing, but even while she was throwing this darkmatter and her own blood her body was healing itself thanks to cross all the wounds on her body started closing up her rear stopped bleeding and the bit mark on her arm suddenly turned to a scare.

Cross put every bit of remaining energy to fight of the infestation of darkmatter in charcoals body that when he finished he didnt even move he simply collapsed to the ground uncounsious and none responcive.

Drake during this whole ordeal seemed helpless but when cross suddenly collapsed after he was done healing charcoal he immediatly moved in and move cross away from charcoals body so he didnt fall onto her. "good job cross." he said complimenting the wolf. before putting him on the ground to let him rest.

charcoal felt almost 85% better after cross healed her but she still was afraid of shade comming to find her.

Shane looked at his mate as he thought about her words. What would happen under those circumstances? Would she even be able to defend herself? Shane couldn't deal with another death on his concience. His thoughts were soon interrupted when Charcoal yelled out in pain. Looking up at Cross with a frantic look in his eyes he watched as he began removing the Dark Matter. His heart dropped every time Charcoal howled out in pain an it took a lot of self control in order not to stop the operation. Plus if she was taken control of again, Shane wasn't sure If they'd ever get her back. Shane looked slightly away when the she-wolf began to vomit. The smell of blood had filled the room and Shane felt his instincts begin to kick in. But once she was healed he let out a sigh of relief. He walked over to the exhausted healer and pressed his muzzle against him."thank you so much, I don't know what we'd do without you. Sleep peacefully, you deserve the rest." he turned back to Drake and Charcoal and spoke to them. "Shade has become too much of a threat. We must act soon, or I fear that his power will grow stronger than all of ours put together. January 1st, the new year's day, that's when Shade will fall". Looking directly at his lover he continued " I will not allow our pups to grow up in constant fear of death. I shall not place such a burden upon your shoulders. But for now we must rest." as he spoke the light from the moon entered the cave. He laid down by Charcoal and looked at Drake. "we'll need the rest, who knows what tomarrow will bring." he placed his head on Charcoal's back as sleep slowly took ahold.
